GIA Global Group Registration Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern Your participation in Smart Factory League Virtual Summit (“the Event”) organised by GIA Global Group s.r.o. (“Organiser”, “We”) which is registered in Czechia on the following address Karlovo náměstí 317/5, Nové Město (Praha 2), 120 00, Prague, under the following ID number 6437770. By registering for the Event, You agree to and accept these Terms & Conditions which form a binding legal contract between the Organiser and the registered attendee (“You”, “Your(s)” or “Attendee”).


Once You submit your registration, We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received it. After a quick review We will send You a welcome email with important further instructions on how to join and use the Event virtual platform. It is Your responsibility to ensure that the email address that You provide during the registration is correct.

Registration credentials (login/passwords) cannot be forwarded to third parties. Doing so may hinder your own access, as the Event entry is by prior registration only.

The Event Content

All rights in all presentations, materials and documentation published or otherwise made available as part of the Event (including the Event name, logo exhibitor, sponsor and attendees’ lists) (“Content”) are owned by the Organiser, or are included with the permission of the owner of the rights. No photography, filming or recording; or republication, broadcast or other dissemination of the Content is permitted. You shall not distribute, reproduce, modify, store, transfer or in any other way use any of the Content except the use by the relevant Attendee for internal business purposes or the prior written consent of the Organiser.

The Organiser is not responsible for the Content of any speaker’s presentation; such Content is the opinion of the speaker and not of the Organiser.

Event Programme & Location

The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the programme without notice and to change the location or the date of the Event or confirmed speakers.

Force Majeure

If the Organiser is delayed, hindered or prevented from hosting the Event as a result of a force majeure (which means any act, event, omission or accident beyond its control reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes (save for its own workforce), lock-outs, failure of a utility service or telecommunications network, software failure, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, accident, government and / or local authority restraints, regulations or orders, fire, flood, or storm) the Organiser may postpone the Event. In this case Your registration will be rolled over to the rescheduled Event.


You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Organiser, its employees and affiliates from all damages, liabilities and expenses (and all legal costs including reasonable lawyers fees, court costs, expenses and settlements resulting from any action or claim) arising out of, connected with or resulting in any way from any act or omissions by You or Your negligence during your attendance and participation in the Event or otherwise in relation to the Event.


The Event is delivered over the internet, and accordingly, is subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in the use of the internet and electronic communications. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any delays, delivery failures, viruses, hacker intrusions or other damage resulting from such problems.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser’s aggregate liability to You, whether such liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind howsoever arising, out of or in connection with the Event registration (or requested Event registration) made by You or otherwise in relation to the Event, shall be limited to the amount of the Attendee’s paid registration fee.

The Organiser will not be liable under contract, tort or for breach of statutory duty or otherwise with reference to any matter arising directly or indirectly out of or related to the Event registration (or requested Event registration) made by an Attendee or otherwise in relation to the Event, for any indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive loss, damage or liability or for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of use, loss of data and loss of reputation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall limit or exclude the Organiser’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

Data Protection

By registering for the Event, Your registration details will be available to the Organiser and its affiliates to deliver the Event as well as to contact You with information about similar events and services in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

We forbid the participation at the Event to individuals age 18 and below, without the consent of a parent or guardian over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.

Notification of Changes

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. Any such changes will be displayed on the Event’s website.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by Czech law.

Uwe Kueppers

Uwe has more than 25 years of experience in the manufacturing environment and with industrial software and automation products. He spent five years as an application engineer with Schiess, a major manufacturer of heavy machine tool builder before he started to be involved in developing the first Industrial PCs and the use of PC equipment to control and optimise palletise systems. Before Incuity and Wonderware, Uwe has built up the sales area for an engineering company and sold automation solution to all kinds of manufacturing segments. After running his own business, Uwe joined Wonderware in 1994, in 1995 he moved to the headquarter in the US to develop the OEM program. In this timeframe, Uwe also gained international experience in Asia. January 2001 he took over the position as a managing director in Scandinavia. In 2003 Uwe became the additional responsibility of the German operation as Managing Director. April 2005 he accepted the position as Director Business Development and Marketing EMEA where he was responsible for extending the established markets and grow new emergency market segments or area. Together with his Marketing Manager, he developed the marketing strategies for Wonderware in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His primary goal was to grow significant the business in EMEA as well as identifying new potential business segments. Since Jan 2014 Uwe was also appointed to the Chairman of the EMEA board of Mesa International a non-profitable association focusing since more than 20 years on Manufacturing. Dr. Byron Ernest

Dr. Byron Ernest does professional development in leadership and education around the world. Dr. Ernest authored the book: The Hand In the Back of the Room: Connecting School Work to Real Life. He serves on the Indiana State Board of Education and is Chair-Elect of the National Association of State Boards of Education. Dr. Ernest is a former AgriScience Teacher who was named 2010 Indiana Teacher of The Year and 2011 Christopher Columbus Foundation National Outstanding Agriscience Teacher. Byron served as the Department Head for Agriculture Science and FFA at Lebanon Community School Corporation where he started the program from scratch. The program is now one of the largest in the state and is well respected nationally for its focus on teaching science in the context of agriculture. Byron holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Education and a Master’s in Education from Purdue University. He received his Doctorate from Walden University in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning. In 2017 Dr. Ernest completed the Certificate for Advanced Educational Leadership program at Harvard University where he is continuing his Post-Doctoral Studies.

Adrian has been actively involved in technology market intelligence for more than 20 years. As part of the leadership team at IMS Research, a highly renowned information provider acquired by IHS Markit Inc. in 2012, Adrian led research practices on a wide range of topics from industrial automation to semiconductors.

Subsequently, Adrian spent close to five years as Senior Director of Research Operations for IHS Markit’s Technology, Media & Telecom business line, with responsibility for developing its broader strategy and acquisition focus. During this time, Adrian was exposed to a broad array of analytical techniques covering the entire spectrum of technology market intelligence. This insight enabled him to bring a unique perspective to Interact Analysis, ensuring the company can achieve its aim of providing best-in-class intelligence.

Since founding Interact Analysis, Adrian continues to lead the company’s global strategy and US operations. One of his primary research areas is industrial automation having started analyzing this industry over 20 years ago, and is now one of our Research Directors responsible for this topic.
